At present, while the fence along Reid Oval parallel to Limestone Ave is continuous to the corner of Euree Street, the actual chain-link fencing stops halfway. This long gap in the chain link fencing provides a considerable risk of harm particularly to children and dogs who, even when parents and owners have the best of intentions, can slip under the railing and reach Limestone Ave. This is a busy road and there is a real potential for a very unfortunate accident. This petition requests that the chain-link fencing is extended so making a continuous barrier along the full length of the side facing Limestone Ave.
