ACT Heritage Grants Program for 2025-26

From the ACT Government:

We are excited to announce that the ACT Heritage Grants Program for 2025-26 will open on Monday 7 July and we thought this might interest your organisation.

Applications will be open for 6 weeks and will close on Friday 15 August at 5pm.

Owners, managers and community groups involved with places or objects on the ACT Heritage Register are eligible to apply for a grant. Individuals and incorporated non-profit or private organisations are also eligible to apply for a grant related to places or objects on the Register.

The focus of this year’s grants program is:

  • Maintaining, protecting, conserving and improving access to places and objects registered on the ACT Heritage Register, and Aboriginal places and objects.
  • Driving greater community engagement with the ACT’s unique natural, First Nations, cultural and historic heritage.

The ACT Heritage Engagement team is here to support you. We encourage all applicants to discuss their project with us prior to submitting an application to seek advice on project suitability and tips for applying.

Please note, in the case of an ACT Government managed asset or place, community organisations must apply as project partners with ACT Government agencies. ACT Government agencies must be approached for agreement to the project prior to the submission of the grant application. Please reach out to the ACT Heritage Grants team if you need support with this process.

Visit the ACT Heritage Grants Program webpage for further information. The ACT Heritage Grants Program Guidelines for Applications 2025-26 will be live on this page from Monday 7 July.
