Update – UNSW Canberra City Campus Consultation –– Reid

UNSW will host another online presentation (11 Feb 21) of the Draft Master Plan for the UNSW Canberra City Campus development offering stakeholders and the community the opportunity to discuss, ask questions and provide feedback. This is a terrific opportunity to be involved in such a major undertaking on the former CIT site in Reid.

Planning Reform

Planning reform and community input to shape a better future for Canberra appear to be a focus for some political parties in the next ACT Elections. The RRA have written to the parties requesting their policies on both heritage and enforcing even current regulations pertaining to suburbs such as Reid.

The UNSW Canberra City Campus Community and Stakeholder Engagement Report is available and note the report’s final recommendation: We also recommend maintaining regular engagement with key stakeholders including the Reid Residents Association, Campbell Community Association, St John’s Canberra, CIT Canberra, Reid Early Childhood Centre and the ACT branch of the National Trust throughout the Canberra City campus journey.
